American Eagles are ok for IRA`s, check online services for storage costs etc. if you want to transfer over to that style. It is preservation of wealth with the possibility of gains if Silver and Gold does go up. I believe Proofs are included for IRA`S also. That would be my preference.
At the age of 59 1/2 you can withdraw you IRA funds without an early withdrawal fee. Regular taxes would have to be paid.
