UK Brexit Vote
Surprise surprise, today was an example of how geopolitical events can affect the market. UK will vote on whether to disconnect with the EU on June 23. Varying opinions on what the market might do leaves indecision on the effects. There are no guarantees especially with the bull market at 7 years. A timeline that usually ends with a bear market. What I have noticed from other market crash`s is watch the volatility. In 1987 all spring the market had huge up and down days. Today`s market has been different with low interest rates but huge debt. The debt will come back with a vengance that has been overlooked so far. Money is looking for places to go and the overseas market overnight causing squeezes such as today. Two prior corrections could be a warning of the nervousness out there. So far they have been able to keep the market up till election time, if that happens is another issue. The new President will be met with many issues. It will take a real strategist to handle it so keep your eyes open and watch the volatility.
