Todays Market---Stock Market---Oil----Natural Gas----Gold and Silver

There is real potential for a down market with stocks. Oil and Natural Gas seem over supplied. Gold and Silver may be over priced for the moment. Short term we could see a dip with Gold and Silver and both Oil and Natural Gas. Being I am not a options person nor should many out there. I don`t recommend that. A much easier way and safer is ETF`s. Almost ever sector has those available for trading. The big plus is they are like mutual funds but can be bought and sold any minute the market is open. There are expense ratio`s though ranging from .10 to over 1 percent. Let me say this, many are free from disastrous bankruptcies unlike individual companies. There are some that do report quarterly earnings so be more selective with those. Many also pay a dividend. For the moment I am a fan of stock market ETF`s. Like stocks but diversified ETF`s are available for almost any sector I can think of. They range from following the sector or can be 3 times the movement in which they use options themselves without you needing to for maximum gains. Problem is if your entry is not good there might be losses at 3X.

The S & P 500, Russel Index, Nasdaq are available going Long or Inverse. Make sure of those two before you purchase them. They move in opposite directions. If you are in an Inverse and the market moves up there will be a loss. Inverse is like shorting the market.

Gold and Silver have ETF`s in the same manner. Natural gas also.

Just a side note, if you manage your account yourself, learn charting. Stock charts dot com has lots of info but let me try to make it simple. It`s about patterns and using indicators such as moving average lines, MACD especially. The MACD is like a microscope to fine tune a purchase price during the day or week. Waiting till the main indicators are so overbought or oversold. You will see this on this chart I post. Look it over both upper and lower ( 2 charts ) and the indicators along with how the price reacts to them.
