Saint Gaudens Double Eagle

A favorite coin for many, The Saint Gaudens Double Eagle was minted from 1907 to 1933. A beautifull Gold 1 ounce coin in Mint State condition will command a premium over Bullion prices. Most years had a fairly high mintage. The proof coins were only issued from 1908 to 1915, and very few proof`s survive today in any condition. Expect to pay a lot for any of them, also with a hazard. The coins have existed for a long time and the possiblity of fakes increase.
