With what I consider the manipulative drop in the bullion ( paper ) spot price I would like to express what my blog is all about and ways to avoid the ups and downs in bullion spot prices. Avenues for better investing with a degree of diversitication. Below is what I see presently before and after the recent decline in the Gold and Silver market.
1. I see no changes in prices sold on ebay with ASE ( American Silver Eagle ) proof or uncirculated.
2. Bullion Silver ( bars etc ) are selling for less.
3. Using the common 1986 American Gold Eagle ungraded as an example. Prices are approximately $ 100.00 less after the decline.
4. Prices have declined for the 1986 Gold Proof about the same as stated above.
5. PCGS not 1986 ( lack of records earlier than the 15th ) in general have held their prices.
6. 2011 5 coin silver eagle sets. Not much change.
7. 2012 w Buffalo gold proof maybe $ 100.00 with the first strikes. Just a few sales on record on ebay however some sections on ebay are slow to be updated so it`s not reliable yet for several weeks to come. Private sales I think do not show on ebay sold records.
8. 2008 W Buffalo gold Proof. Lack of information in general. The 4 coin sets may be selling for less. It`s hard to say. I don`t think anyone is selling for less except those who don`t know the market value. For the big investors there are bargains that were bought but this was before the drop. Those bargains are rare and bought up quickly. The one bargain that sold shows no photos of the pcgs pf 70 coins or slabs. The other one sold for nearly $ 4000.00 LOL
I think in general a few bargains are available if one looks thoroughly. A few weak sellers but many are holding.
