Kick me in the rear. That set that sold for over $ 2000.00 was a First Release Set. Perhaps the buyer really knew what he was doing. I had to correct myself as you will read below I had thought it was just a irrational purchase.
We don`t always catch certain mint issues, in this case the Canadian 2013 5 coin silver reverse maple leaf set with a mintage around 9000. Irrational exuberance buyers with the released sets in the PF 70 NGC sets paid over $ 2000.00 when they first came out. More recent buys on EBAY have been in the $ 700.00 range. If you miss out on Mint releases be patient if you want a PF 70 set. Early buyers in this case will have to wait for a while maybe a long time for any profit. I do believe this is a set to have but at a reasonable price. All Reverse Proofs.
